1. Grand Rapids Speedway runs all car classes according to WISSOTA rules, General Track Rules, and track rules governing all non-WISSOTA classes.

2. A WISSOTA rule book and copies of the General Track Rules are available at the pit office. There is no excuse for not knowing our Track Rules.

3. NO ONE under the age of 14 will be allowed to race or operate a race car while at the track - WISSOTA age limits will be followed for the classes. This includes the loading and unloading of your race car. If caught allowing an under age person to operate your car you will be fined $2000.

4. A notarized waiver, signed by a parent or guardian, is required for those under the age of 18. Parental or Guardian supervision of all minors is mandatory while in the pit area.


5. All calls are final. If you have a concern – talk to the Track Steward.

6. The driver is responsible for their pit crew and their fans.

7. All fines must be paid prior to collecting race check and competing in the next race event.

8. Only track personnel and disabled persons will be allowed to use an ATV. A registration form must be submitted to the track for Board approval.

9.  The draw cut off will be at 6:30 p.m. according to our clock. If you are unable to make the 6:30 cut off, you may call the track prior to 6:15 p.m. and the track will draw for you. (218 326-4437)

10. The WRRI Board will set the running order.

11. All classes will compete per WISSOTA rules for the heat and feature races.

12. There is an optional time limit on races. If it looks like the program is running too long, the WRRI Board can impose a time limit.

a. Modified: 20 laps or 25 minutes

b. Super Stocks: 20 laps or 25 minutes

c. Midwest Modified: 20 Laps or 25 minutes

d. Mod-4: 20 laps or 25 minutes

e. Pure Stocks: 20 laps or 20 minutes

If there are less than 12 cars starting the feature the laps, time, and pay-out may be adjusted.

13. During heats and features, there will be no courtesy laps for tire changes. When the line-up is ready, the race will resume. If you are two (2) laps down, you will not be allowed to continue the race.

a. Any driver causing two (2) caution flags will be sent to the pits. The first caution flag, the driver will be sent to the back (even on the first lap). Repeat offenders of the caution flag will be sent to the pits after the first caution flag.

b. It will be single file on the third restart or after halfway point.

c. Any driver intentionally stopping the race will be black flagged.

d. Rough driving and/or unsportsmanlike driving will result in: black flag, loss of points and pay, fine, and/or a suspension.( See infraction sheet)

e. A red flag means stop immediately.

14. Negligent driving when being lapped will result in a black flag. The flagman will give you the move over flag to let you know the leaders are coming.

15. A rolled black flag pointed at you is a warning. An opened black flag pointed at you means “GO TO THE PITS”. Blatant refusal to acknowledge the black flag and leave the track will result in a warning and/or a fine.

16. Drivers must remain in their cars at all times during a race, unless for a safety measure or O.K.’d by a track official.

17. The driver is responsible for knowing where they belong in the line-up at all times.

18. All excessive speeding in the pit and scale areas will result in a fine and/or suspension.

19. If you don’t pack the track when asked you will not race that night. A Tech person must determine if your car is inoperable at the time.

20. Every person driving a race car on the track must wear the required helmet and cinched harness and lap belt whenever in the race car, including, packing, warm-ups, hot laps, and races.

21. WRRI will follow all WISSOTA tire rules for WISSOTA classes.

22. Any driver caught leaving tires, garbage and/or dumping oil will be fined a minimum of $25. A barrel for used oil will be available at the track.

23. All classes running at the Grand Rapids Speedway will be awarded points according to the WISSOTA point system.

24. If you are not lined up in the proper position when you enter the track, you will start in the back.

a. One exception to this rule will be if you were in the previous race, in which case the flagman will wait for you for two (2) laps.

25. You will docked (2) spots for intentionally racing under the tires, either on the next restart or at the pay window , whichever comes first. Any time you leave the racing surface you will be under control and off the gas before re-entering or a black flag, fine, and /or suspension will result.

26. Any person in the pit area determined to be under the influence by 3 or more Board members (during the race program) will be asked to leave immediately.

27. The penalty for infractions committed at the Grand Rapids Speedway will be determined per the attached infraction sheet.

All General Track rules will be in effect for the 2008 racing season, unless it is deemed a safety issue.
